Surabhi Gupta, an undergraduate student in Wildlife, Fisheries, and Aquaculture at Mississippi State University and Shackouls Honors College, has had her research published in the Plant Physiology Reports, the official publication of the Indian Society for Plant Physiology.

The article titled "Resilience of cotton cultivars to chilling stress during germination," is an evaluation of chilling stress on commercially available cotton seed cultivars at the Plant Physiology Lab. The research also establishes that need to promote early planting which would prevent harvest frost and crop loss.

She authored the paper together with Lekshmy V. Sankarapillai, K. Raja Reddy & Raju Bheemanahalli, all of the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences, Mississippi State University, and Salliana R. Stetina of the USDA-ARS Crop Genetics Research Unit, Stoneville, Mississippi.
