Lillian Butler
Lillian Butler is a senior in Biomedical Engineering. She has been a research assistant at the Institute for Genomics, Biocomputing, and Biotechnology for two years, and is excited to continue her work with them throughout her senior year. She identifies antifungal metabolites in corn samples to help develop commercially successful corn cultivars that are naturally resistant to the pathogenic fungus Aspergillus flavus. After graduation she intends to pursue a career in healthcare as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.
